Is It Safe To Consume Alcohol While On Prednisolone?

Hi, I am currently taking prednisolone for a back injury, and I was just wondering if I could consume alcohol while on this medication? Also if I can drink, how much would I be able to have? And what would be the implications if I did drink alcohol while taking this? Thanks!

There is no known interactions in prednisolone and alcohol. But this combined use will decrease your body immunity system and make you prone to get infected. This also increases risk of osteoporosis, peptic ulcer, diabetes type 2. But a drink or two might not have any impact on your health if you are on low dose of prednisolone for a short duration. But keep in mind about the long term side effects of alcohol consumption.
