Is It Safe To Conceive During TB Treatment?

Hi , I am Anita, I Am 31, I am having Tb, but not detected in which part of body. My periods are not normal from last two months. I have to take medicines . I want to plan for a baby. I had one baby boy of 5 year. i am in confusion that should i start taking treatment of TB or will try to conceive first. my hieight is 5. 2" and weight is 78 kg. please give guidance .

Hello ma'am and welcome.

In todays world, there are specific anti-TB medications that can be given to a pregnant woman which will not harm the growing fetus within.

Please seek treatment for TB simultaneously, as it should be delayed. If you have TB and do not seek treatment, there is a risk for your child to be born premature (health risk), low birth weight or even with TB, reducing survival chances.
