Hi, I'm 25 yrs old. My doctor gave me HMG and HCG injections last month and i'm six weeks pregnant now. My doctor has asked me to take fertigyn 5000 injection everyweek till 16 weeks. She also asked to take a ultrasound scan everyweek. Is scan everyweek during early stages safe?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion fertigyn injections every week mightbe necessary in certain pregnancies. But weekly ultrasound might not be so useful to see the growth of fetus. If you have no symptoms like pain abdomen or backache or spotting then pregnancy might be normal.Dont worry. But may be for some reason your doc advised weekly scan so discuss regarding that with the doctor.
