Hi, my girlfriend started taking the microgynon 30 pill 7 days ago, today is the seventh pill. She started taking it a couple days after her period ended. If we were to have sex without a condom is she protected? and yes I know the pill isn t 100% effective

it prevents implantation . In a cycle of 30 days, it becomes about 12th day when she stops taking the pill so the chances are she will have a withdrawl bleed after 5-7 days but chances of pregnancy are very slim as the egg is not going to mature
