Is It Required To Have Defibrillator To Improve Ejection Rate?

My doctor wants me to get a defibrillator because my ejection rate is at 25%. I am scared and do not want the surgery. My ejection rate has gone up over 3 months. I had chemo which caused the congestive heart failure. I would rather wait and see if my heart improves, but she is trying to pressure me.

Thank you for the question. Depending on symptoms of congestive heart, and severity of left ventricular systolic dysfunction,Dyspnea or shortness of breath frequency and fluctuations in heart rate and pulse due to atrial fibrillations if any, your doctor must be advising for defibrillator and may be rightly indicating.If you have none of these severities, you may wait few days and go for it if any of symptoms becme dominant.Low EF is a risky state and requires all precautions in activity and timely specific medicines. if yoou are responding well to meds maybe some waiting time is there. You may seek second opinion , however from an interventional cardiologist to remove your doubts
