Is It Possible To Get Pregnant Despite Birth Control Ring?

I am on the birth control ring. I had sex on Fri and took the ring out inserted it about 4 hours later. I was due to take it out on Fri for a week. On Sun I got what I thought was a light period it continued to Fri I took the ring out as planned, then the period continued until Tues or Wed. I inserted a new ring the following Fri. I am now worried I could be pregnant.

It is not unusual to have irregular it lighter periods on the ring,
especially in the first three months of use. You can also take the ring out for sex, but they recommend you leave it out for only 2 hours or it can cause breakthrough bleeding. This is most likely what happened to you, but do a urine pregnancy test to make sure, and if it is negative, you can just continue to use the ring as instructed.

I hope I was able to answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
