Is It Possible To Get Pregnant Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?
I just found out that iam pregnant. my last normal menstrual cycle while I was still taking birth control started on Sept 30th and ended in Oct. 2nd. on late October aroumd 28th & 29th I had an abnormal/ bleeding. yet it didn t last long enough. But on Tuesday novemeber 4th I was hospitalized due to a strong massive headache and they gave me a Pregnancy test which the results came out negative. iam concern because I do not know how many weeks far iam into the pregnancy? and when did I conceived? I hope you can help me

Hi, I understand your concern. Actually taking regular oral contraceptives at a fixed time every day-without a gap- gives full protection `( contraception) You said you are on pills regularly-- Only doubt I have is abnormal bleeding you had on 28'29 of October( which may follow a break/ irregular consumption of pills)--This can cause failure in contraception. THough false +ve pregnancy test is possible due to contaminated urine/ testing material--- You are advised to exclude pregnancy test by blood HCG testing. If pregnancy is +ve the age of pregnancy can be determined by USG pelvis. Thanks.
