Diabetes is a disease that affects how the body uses glucose a sugar that is the body's main source of fuel. When you eat, Glucose from the food gets into your bloodstream, your pancreas makes a hormone called insulin, which helps the glucose get into the body's cells, and your body gets the energy it needs.  Depending on the type of diabetes you have, either your body doesn’t make insulin, doesn’t make enough insulin, or doesn’t use insulin in the right way. Both the forms are equally bad and need good care and proper regular treatment. If not then both willlead to complications which might turn into life threatening problems at times. Type 1 diabetes occurs when the pancreas fails to make enough insulin. Make sure he follows 3 things always.. DIABETIC DIET, regular EXERCISE, and most important of all.. daily INSULIN doses. It will not go away, but it will be under control.
