Is It Ok To Undergo CT Scan Twice?

Hi. I got accident in a motorcycle last Nov. 17, 2012 and undergone ct scan on that day also, now there is this uncomfortable feeling of dizziness and so i consulted a neurologist and then he told me to undergo ct scan again. Is it okay to undergo ct scan again?

Thanks for writing in to us.

It is acceptable to undergo CT scan plain after the last scan being taken on Nov 17 2012 but caution must be taken in evaluating dizziness. A MRI scan is radiation free and better in patients reporting with dizziness. At first I recommend you MRI scan brain if available.
