Is It Ok To Take R-cin, Zinfex, Ofloxin For Acne?

i am suffering from acne vulgaris grade 3. Recently my Dr. prescribed me with R-cin 450mg, zinfex, ofloxin 400mg. all these are anti bacterial tablets (read in articles posted on the internet). amongst this R-Cin 450mg is used for tuberculosis (read in articles posted on the internet). is that ok? and does this course of treatment help in treating acne?

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I don't think i have seen ever a prescription like that for acne!! I wont advocate it for acne.

If i was the treating dermatologist I would have asked you to apply a topical antibacterial gel e.g benzoyl peroxide gel twice daily for acne. A course of oral antibiotics, macrolides e.g azithromycin or or tetracyclines e.g doxycycline would have been my choice of an oral antibiotic rather than what you mentioned.

regards
