Is It Normal To Have Smelling Urine During Pregnancy?

I am 35 weeks and 4 days pregnant and got up this morning smelling pretty bad... My urine smells really strong and a little sweet and a little fishy. It s pretty gross, I shower daily but as go for a wee lots of times in a day I don t want to smell. Just wanted to know if this is ok in pregnancy or it s an infection please? I ve not noticed any unusual discharge this morning if that helps.

well if the discharge is sweet and fishy smelling and if the colour is greenish then its definitely a vaginal infection likely trichomonas. vaginal infection can cause premature rupture of membranes and early labour pains. i would advise you to visit your gynae / obstetrician and get a vaginal smear for culture and thereby further to start on respective medicines. any vaginal infection can precipitate symptoms of urinary tract infection as well like frequent voiding of urine, backache, fever, irritation/mood swings, decreased appetite sometimes. so get a consult and exam asap.
