Is It Normal To Have Pus Coming Out Of A Swollen Cellulitis Finger After Taking Antibiotics?

my son has finger cellulitis and the dr had put him on antibiotics and the redness has gone but it is still swollen and pus is coming out is that normal the swelling is down a little from when we took him to drs.also dr. gave him a cream to put on was just worried about pus and if the swelling should still be there this all too place 2-5-2014

No, if pus is coming out than it is not cellulitis but an abcess. It will need removal of pus, may be through pressure or small cut. Antibiotics are not helpful if pus is already formed. You should show it to your doctor as early as possible and get pus removed than take antibiotics. Take care.
