Is It Normal To Have Itching And Pain In The Bumped Area Of Head Caused By A Month Old Injury?

Hello. About a month ago, my mother fell down a few steps from stairs and bumped her head against it. She applied ice immediately after. There was no dizziness, no headache, no bleeding whatsoever. Now, after a month, the bumped area around itches and the scalp hurts a little. Is this normal?

Hi,

Yes, this may be a normal part of the healing process. When nerves become damaged (not even requiring a break in the skin), the nerves regenerate and the prickly sensation is quite normal.
