Is It Normal To Have Fluctuating BP And Increased Pulse Rate After Bypass Surgery?
Please write your querymy elder brother 62 yrs. old post operated for heart bypass surgery (for tripple vessel diseasse) in Jaslok hospital mumbai india on 26 aug 2013. Today he has fluctuating blood. pressure 127/73 with pulse rate 127. Is it ok or not? Regards D K Singh Mumbai
Hi Mr Singh, is he on regular followup? Patients following bypass can have disturbances of rhythm (arrhythmias) for some time. but, if high pulse rate is persisting, get an ECG and consult your cardiologist. If it is an arrythmia, it requires treatment like change or addition of drugs. All the bset.
