Is It Normal To Have Anteverted Uterus And Endometrium Of These Thickness?
I've just had an ultrasound done. My endometrium is 9.3mm thick. Is this normal? And he also said my uterus is anteverted. Is this also normal? I have had severe paid before / during periods for about 6 years and it's at the point now where I have to take days off work for pain an just lie there and cry. So far, so many different medications have not worked, which is why my doctor suspected I have endimitrosis but now that doesn't look likely from my scan. What could be the next step?
Hello and welcome to HCM, I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Your ultrasound and endometrial thickness is normal. The pain may be due to endometriosis. The diagnosis of endometriosis is a bit difficult. Findings of physical examination are very important. Ultrasound may or may not reveal any changes. So laproscopy is the gold standard where the implants are seen and can be removed or burnt.
So get a laproscopy done for diagnosis.
