Is It Normal To Experience Pain At The Site Of Steroid Injection?

Hi, I am 28 years old, 5 ft 2, and weigh about 200 pounds. I went to my local urgent care last night with a sinus infection, and they gave me two shots: a steroid in one hip, and an antibiotic in the other. I have not been able to sleep tonight due to the fact that the side where the steroid was injected is so sore that I can t put any weight on it, and this is the side I prefer to sleep on. Is it normal to feel this kind of pain after that type of injection? I have had these before and don t remember this much discomfort after the fact.
