Is It Normal For A Child To Have Prolonged, Intermittent Fever, runny Nose And Cough?

My son is almost 4 years old and began daycare about 7 months ago. He has been sick for most of the 7 months. Now, this past month, he has been fevering on and off for the whole month. He got penicilin for an ear infection two weeks ago, and is still having fevers on and off. Is it normal for a 4 year old to have a fever on and off, with runny nose and cough, for a whole month?

Hi,
It requires complete evaluation of a case of your child.
He requires some investigations to find out cause for having off and on fever since long.
Go for,
complete blood testing like TC, Dc, ESR.
Montoux test,
X-ray chest,
Routine urine check up.
After all reports doctor will have a proper diagnosis and then plan of treatment can be decided.
Ok and take care.
