Is It Necessary To Test For STD After A Protected Sex?
dear doctor,
hello i had sex with a girl 8 to 9 months ago with having condom and doing only penile-vaginal sex..nothing more, but
had headache after 3-4 days and had pain in my lower throat, but it cured very soon....and used to had very little pee drops or water drops on my penis tip bt no pain...and little anus itching...all of them got cured but sometimes i think that those were STD symptoms including HIV...but i dont know much about these,so please please please help me out...and tell me were those STD symptoms? should i get tested?? and if yes,which STDs should i get tested? plsease doctor ,i need your help urgently,i am suffering from depression for these STDs...please suggest me what should i do! please help me:(

Thank you for query.you are getting to anxious about HIV and STDs .it is ggod that you had protected sex.so i do not see any possibility of STDs or HIV to be transmitted.There are some diseases which can also be transmitted by skin to skin contact can be spread if the partner has lesions.otherwise no need to worry about HIV or STDs.The symptoms are nonspecific and throat infection can spread from any other person also. if need be take some tablets for anxiety after consulting your doctor.Forget it relax.You can get back directly to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist.
