Is It Necessary To Take De-worming?
Someone told me that you have to take de-worming every year. Because children plays in mud and animals pass motion in park and cause problems. Is this compulsory?

I give my kid de-worming every year because she plays in sand and mud and all. I can’t keep her from putting her hand in her mouth all the time.

My doctor also gives de-worming. It seems in India it is more needed as you can get worms from non-veg and sometimes even from veg like Leander Paes. So it is good to take regular de-worming.

I don’t know for sure. But avoid self medication and only take it if your pediatrician prescribes it, I think that is always better thing to do.

see one thing that i would like to tell what are the manifestations of worm infestation , it is not going to cause a problem over night are a day in a day or two. it will slowly drink the blood, and the child will not hungry and we think that the child is not listening to us and keep beating him. so in due ciurse of time the child will get weak....i ahve told what all that i know its up to you now to decide whether to give or not

hi ,my paediatrician has told me that children who grew up in the urban areas do not need de-worming. Only children who run around barefoot on soil infested with animal droppings and those areas with no proper sewage system.

de-worming is compulsory to every child.because they play in the in soil, sand eat contaminated food ,contaminated water etc.
due to this worms grow in the stomach,they cause indigestion,anemia,loss of appetite, bed wetting.
so de-worming is compulsory.
in homeopathy also best medicines available for de-worming.

Hi Manoj,
It is best to deworm children once every 6 months. They grow well with strong immunities. LEVAMISOL/VERMISOL 150mg or ALBENDAZOL 200mg is the best.

usually child plays in parks. some times they eat fruits of salad without washing. sometime washing can`t removes larvas or eggs from fruits or vegetable so unknowing we eat eggs or larva of parasite. so deworming is almost compulsory specially for children every 6 monthly.
it is not sured that u got infection from such eating behaviour. it is beneficial to do deworming.

not compulsary. but u may do it every six mths or one year, considering that it is difficult to diagnose worm infestation till it becomes very obvious or complications appear, and medicine given for deworming is a safe drug, so it better to choose a smaller and calculative risk of side-effects of deworming rather than face its uncalculative and untimely complications.

I dont say it is compulsary to deworm each and every child. but ofcourse it is beneficial to deworm children particularly who play outside. deworming should be atleast for every year. Best drug would be albendazole. dosage would be according to age of child.

Deworming is a good and harmless process and the country like India due to poor sanitation worms ova are present everywhere .Children even adult should take antihelminthic as a good precuation.

it will be good if you give the de worming agent to your kids like albendazole and ivermectin,they will promote good appetite and general good health and avoid any complications due to worms in future like intestinal obstruction.

there is no need for deworming child every year. children play in mud and with animals thats not indication for deworming medication.
if your child having any symptoms of chronic abdominal pain, passing bloody stools, and passing worms in stools then there is need to use deworming medication. otherwise not necessary.
