Is It Necessary To Do A Widal Test With Positive Typhi Dots?
I got fever on 20th evening & on 22nd I was advised test of typhi dot & rapid malaria.malaria was negative while typhi dot showed positive.I am on ziffi O twicw a day & paracetamol & the tempeerature showed a sliding trend since 25th evening.Again today at 9pm the tepmperature was 101 F.please advise if i should get a widal test done

A single widal test has no significance and hence of no use.
Blood culture is the best test for diagnosis of typhoid fever.
It is best to consult a physician,get yourself properly physically examined and then get relevant investigations done.
