Hello dear user:
I have gone through your question.
I can understud your concers.
You have done Thyroid Scan and Ultrasoud that it resolution Thyroid cancer???
I would like to know please: Did you have thyroid problems before?
Are you after total thyroidectomy?
Did you measure
blood test for thyroid hormones?
Its my duty to inform you that Thyroid scan is done to:
• Evaluate thyroid nodules or goiter
• Find the cause of an overactive thyroid gland
• Check for thyroid cancer (rarely, since other tests are more accurate for this)(FNA)
• See whether thyroid cancer has spread outside the thyroid gland.
-Did you have in your
thyroid cyst or nodule?
-Usually a fine
needle aspiration biopsy (FNA) will tell if the nodule is cancerous or benign. This one test can get right to the bottom of the issue.
Often an
ultrasound is necessary to determine the characteristics of a thyroid nodule.
-Another important blood test is measurement of
thyroglobulin (Tg). Thyroglobulin is a protein produced by normal thyroid tissue and thyroid cancer cells, and is usually checked at least once a year.
Dear user, please consult an
endocrinologist with your thyroid tests
TSH,free T3 ,free T4 and an thyroid untrasound to see the actual thyroid fuction and structure.
If you have noduls check- with FNA .
If you have any further queries, please feel free to ask. I would be happy to help.
Thank you for using HCM for your health problems.
