Is it necessary for doing surgery for a injured ligament ?

there was a bike hit my mom s left leg exactly on the knee . she got swelling and pain, immediately we went to a ortho specialist nearby to our residence. she was examined by him and also taken Xray and MRI Scan. we informed that her ligament got injured, need a surgery for that. is it necessary for doing surgery now? any bandage or physiotherapy help her for recovery.. now the pain is reduced and she can walk slowly.pls advice us?

thanks for choosing health care magic.Yes surgery is required.This kind of injury if neglected can lead to problems in future and leads to restriction and pain in the joint.This are the supports of knee joint which helps in movement as well as stabilize the joint. You can take an 2nd opinion if you want.
