Is It Due To Fibromyalgia Or Sinuses There Is Problem In Swallowing ?

I have a new dx of fibromyalgia. I am experiencing mild swallowing difficulty on left side with certain texture foods such as nuts and rice etc. Wondering if this issue sould be relaed to fibromyalgia. I looked at many websites and only found 2 old articles that listed this as a symptom. I am currently under care of rheumatologist but because it was first visit there were so many questions that I had to address. I provided a list of all of my symptoms for the rheumatologist which included this issue. I am also experiencing jaw tightening/pain, sopmetimes pain to gum line, , discomfort in soft palate area, eye pain , pounding headaches - frontal/temporal between the eyes and over the eyes. and some tightening on and in nasal area at intervals. , I had opthamalogy eval 2 days ago and was told that eyes are healthy and doctor sugessted that I may have sinuses. Also with c/o recurrent fluid in ear - 3rd time since last fall and it was very slow to resolve the previous 2 times and reoccurred in Aug of this year and remains. I have an ENT appointment next week to address this issue and swallowing issue. Had EMG that showed bialteral carpal tunnel but otherwise normal. Normal brain MRI- and was cleared by neurology for MS and ALS. I am worried that I will not be able to get to the bottom of some of the above issues. I was in very good health prior to Aug of 2013 when all of these issues started. Initial sxs were muscle twitching, jaw pain/tightening, pain to upper/lower extremties- sharp/dull/burning, bialteral numb toe - middle and tingling lips. I appreciate your response to my ailments. ,

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Recurrent sinus infections are not likely to cause any problem in swallowing. This can be due to stress anxiety or fibronyalgia. Proper investigations are needed to confirm.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
