Is It Due To Appendicitis There Is Severe Pain At Lower Right Ribcage?

Hi, I have excruciating/severe lower right (backside under ribcage) area. I can take a lot of pain....this is beyond what I can take. Laying flat...breathind deep are impossible. I am not sure whether to go to ER at this juncture. 5 days I heaved continually drinking 8-10 glasses of water all days and Ensures when I finally good. I have had high liver enzyme rates this time last year after strep throat and a blood test was done. At 18 I had mono with enlarged spleen...now 50....kidney stone around same time....currently, I still have a hernia Doc said leave alone at 18 and he did the one on the left side at 18. Could it be appenditicus? or is this most likely liver? I can barely move and it's knife piercing...never have I felt this even after the same amount in days of oopsing continually, not able to eat or sleep for days. I watch hella Law and Order to wee hours. Thank you for your time....Sara

General & Family Physician 's  Response
H, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic.
With this presentation, I think it is the case of pleuritic chest pain. It can be caused by an inflammation within the pleural cavity (pleurisy) or problems involving some organs around the diaphragm like liver or gallbladder.
A thorough clinical assessment is needed with some tests like an X-ray, ultrasound and maybe CT scan in addition to blood test.
In my opinion, I would suggest you see an emergency room doctor for proper assessment and management.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish you good health
