Is It Dangerous To Give Children S Tylenol Along With Tylenol With Codeine ?

my nine year old had an adenoidectomy on Thursday followed by a severe stomach virus Thursday night into Friday. As a result her throat is very sore. She was given tylenol with codeine at the hospital and I was told she could take childrens motrin also. She just had a dose of the Tylenol w/codeine and then I mistakenly gave her a dose of childrens tylenol instead of motrin. How dangerous is that

Hi

Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concern but don't worry. Tylenol is safe even in twice the recommended dose if given once. Just skip the next one dose of Tylenol-codeine to avoid any complication. You may give Motrin at the recommended dose.

Hopefully this will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.

Take care
