Hi Ms.lyra,
It is not good to carry a dead fetus for loner period as it may lead to infection, continuous prolonged bleeding, calcification, associated coagulation disorders etc. Surgical evacuation is the ideal method under sterile precautions. Though infection may not be a big risk in early abortions, and spontaneous abortion may occur after sometime, clotting factor defects are a considerable risk and hence active management is better. Please see a specialist for further management. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
