Is It Concerning If The Bone Behind Ear Is Larger Than The Other?
my son has had many ear infections and is being treated by an ent. Ive just noticed that the bone behind his ear is larger than the other. there is no pain or discomfort for my son. what could this be? could it be an infection without any pain, swelling, discomfort....? thank you
in my opinion this may be enlargement of post auricular lymph nodes due to infection. usually bony enlargement doesn't occurs in mastoiditis. if it's so it may be osteoma os bony lesion. I would recommend you to see an ENT specialist nearby.
