Hello Caronise S,

Thanks for your query.

Eating lot of sweets is an unhealthy habit.

Sweets contain lots of sugars which make you prone for Diabetes.

They are also rich in oils and ghee which are saturated fats and are unhealthy.

It is only your psychological feeling which is making you restless, since sweets are not addictive like alcohol or drugs.

Best way to tackle your problem is to substitute sweets with fruits , which are as tasty as sweets and are also very healthy.

In addition sweets also cause obesity which inturn leads to many diseases like Heart disease,
Cancers, Acne due to fats in sweets.

Hope I have answered your query.

I will be available for your follow up queries if any.

Wishing you good health / Speedy recovery.

Radiologist Dr. Radha Narayanan's  Response
Thanks for choosing people suffer cravings for sweets. The causes of these cravings can vary widely but chief among them are hormonal imbalances especially in insulin and serotonin, unhealthy dieting, Adrenal Fatigue, various eating disorders from the Body Dysmorphic Disorder group of symptoms, and even in premenstrual syndrome. To fully combat the root cause for your sugar cravings you will need to consult a doctor, and specific steps for stopping or decreasing cravings depend on an accurate diagnosis. Meanwhile from your side you could try increasing consumption of fresh fruits instead of sweet when the craving arises.Take care.
