Is It Bad To Take Ornindazol And Ofloxin Tablets For Long Term?
hi Doctor,
Two months back I suffered from Stomach Flu and doctor has prescribed me Ornindazol and Ofloxin tablet. I was feeling good. I have stopped that 15 days back and now feeling same kind of problem like Constipation , not properly formed stool , Sleeping problem. Shall I take that medicine once again. Is it bad to take that medicine for the long term.
Ornidazole and Ofloxin tablet are antibiotics used to treat gut infection. I believe you had diarrhea along with slight fever when going through stomach flu.
Now, the problems you are having now with constipation, not properly formed stool and sleeping problems are not related to stomach flu. Stool examination and culture are recommended to determine the right diagnosis.
Until you see your doctor and run the advised tests, I advise to: - increase fluids intake - take foods rich in fiber; fiber supplements containing prunes and psyllium can help - take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
Hope this helps.
