Is It Alright To Take Off The Splint And Make A Fist After Spiral Fracture Due To Fall?

had a fall 4 weeks ago and hurt my hand good didnt get an x-ray till now apparently it is a spiral fracture of the 4th metacarpal went to orthopedics and he got me put into a splint and he told me to were for two weeks and then another x-ray. in the meantime he said i could take off the splint once a day and work my fingers and make a fist a few times, is this right or am i hurting my hand more. should i stay in the splint at all times

yes, it is okay if doing so is not causing pain to you. but if this is causing pain to you then you should check with your orthopaedician.
