Hello dear,

1. Escitalopram is an anti depressant used for the management of major Depressive Disorders.
2. Clonazepam is a medication having anxiolytic, sedative and hypnotic properties.

So, the medications given by her doctor are correct.
Though these medication do not cross react with the anti diabetic or anti hypertensive medications, they may cause few side effects like headache, drowsiness or nausea, they are minimal & well tolerated.

Few studies have shown these drugs to cause Liver injury on prolonged use & given the fact that your aunt has a history of diabetes & hypertension, it will be better to get certain investigations like Liver function test & Renal function tests done before starting the medications.

Wishing her a good health.
Take care.
