Is It Advisable To Do Retinoscopy For Children?

My friends daughter of 5 years age is having
below mentioned problem
(1)3rd,4th & 7th nerve palsy.5th nerve is not confirmed
(2)squint left eye divergent > 40 degree
(3)moderate ptosis grade-III(covers pupil)
(4)No history of epilepsy & was born by normal delivery
(5)perception of light is there in left eye on lateral side
(6)cornea,sclera,lense & iris in normal condition
(7)she also has facial palsy on left side
she is advised opthalmoscopy,retinoscopy with squint correction
Is it advisable to go for surgery ?
DO we need more data before surgery?
Please guide us for the same

Hello,
Retinoscopy and ophthalmoscopy can be done. Squint surgery can be done. The squint surgeon will further examine and do the calculation before surgery.
