Hi there,
Thanks for your query. More information is needed.
However, there is nothing to worry if you suffered from
Infectious Mononucleosis (IM) recently.
Monocyte counts will return to normal in a weeks' time.
However, in case of no history of IM in the recent past and Monocyte counts remain high, you would need to undergo further evaluation for conditions causing persistent
fatigue + high monocyte count, such as, underlying fungal/viral infections, abnormalities of
Hemoglobin,
bone marrow, blood formation and blood cancers.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
