Are you asking why treatment was stopped? Sometimes it is more comfortable for the patient for them to stop treatment and just let them pass away peacefully. Not everyone wants extreme measures done like feeding tubes and ventilators. What is truly sad is when the patient makes their wishes known and does a living will, but the family demand the extreme measures and ignore the will of the patient.
