Is Inhaling Alphat Fumes Harmful To A Pregnant Lady?

Hi Dr, currently I m 6 weeks pregnant. yesterday I was crossing a road and there was a road repaving was going on there. I was trying to hold my breath and cover my nose but somehow I did inhale some of the alphalt fumes. I did not have any coughing nor nausea after inhaling. So may I know will this be harmful to my baby.? Im worried.

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. Only large amount of exposure is harmful for the growing foetus, accidental and small amount of exposure rarely harms the foetus. To be on safer side get regular scan of foetus like ANEUPLOIDY and ANOMALY scan at correct time.
