i believe that i have an ingrown scalp that has been growing inside my body for 40 years due to a traumatic h iead injury. i believe the hair has been wrapping around my joints . i ve seen doctors for 40 years for a multitude of symptoms to no avail. is this possible.
Hello Welcome to health care magic. Thanks for putting up your query over here.
Ingrown hair on scalp is possible through trauma or even shaving of hair.
Usually it is visible as red inflammed bump or cyst over skin.It doesnot reaches till bone. Do you have any such symptoms? If you dont have you need not worry.
If you have any skin bump, what you can do is -Apply warm compresses over bumps -Apply locally hydrocortisone cream to reduce inflammation. -keep your scalp clean and dry daily. -If there is pus,you may need to use local or oral antibiotics.
Hope this information helps. Feel free to ask any more doubts.
