My 6 year old son has had a bump in his throat that has a rock type shape to it. I always thought it was his adam s apple, yet I just read that that doesn t happen until puberty. He shows signs of hyperthyroidism, yet his father has hypo. If daddy has HYPO, is it likely that my son wouldn t have HYPER?? He has trouble concentrating, blank stares, dry skin, hyperactiveness shaking hands, (he s been in occupational therapy for three years) he is highly apprehensive of being alone, very scared and nervous about going anywhere in our small apartment without me...with this said, he did get lab work done yesterday to check his thyroid, which was my idea, not the doctors. He see s an immunologist due to constant sickness, he is on allergy shots, and has a handful of ENT realted surgeries..any ideas?
