Is High Fever After MMR Vaccination Normal In Children?

My grandson had his 12 month injections last week for mmr... has had a high temp for 3 days now..wnt to hosp last night they bought temp down but today my daughter said cant get temp down from 39 ....should she be worried and take him back to the hospital

MMR vaccine is usually uneventful.
Fever for 3 days after the shot means it is not related to injection.
Better consult pediatrician to find out cause of fever and proper treatment.

Yes nearly five percent of vaccinated children can get fever more than 39 degree Celsius 7-12 days following vaccination. If baby is not well , looks drowsy , you need to worry , in most cases fever subsides with paracetamol .
