Is High Bilirubin Level Dangerous?

My daughter has leukemia. She has finished 8 month intensive treatment and interred in the maintenance, we just find out her bilirubin count level is high at the same time her hemoglobin was lower than 7, she get blood but her bilirubin count still is high. is this dangerous?

Hi,
Above the age of one year, high bilirubin is not a major problem. The cause behind it needs to be identified and treated which is the bigger problem.

I would suggest you to get the direct and indirect bilirubin done. Most probably it might be hemolysis. However further reports can help in confirmation of diagnosis.
