Is Herpes Related With Skin Bruises?

Hi. I ve suffered various skin afflictions my whole life. Most come and go, and never experience them again. About a month ago, the area where my back thighs meet my bottom buttocks became extremely itchy, especially at night or when it s hot outside. I reached back to lightly scratch and noticed it felt like mosquito bites. Slightly red and raised and with an intense itch. I scratched a few times and tried to squeeze a few to see if anything came out. A light liquid did, but had no color or smell. A friend suggested I use astringent, and that seemed to greatly calm down the itch until they eventually became to turn a light purple-bruise like color. A few more bumps have appeared, but nothing like the intensity as before. At the moment it is just unsightly, but I read that it could be Herpes. I m not continuously sexually active and when I am there is never any penetration. I have made an appointment with a new doctor, but being a new patient, I won t see him for 3 months. I am scared it could be Herpes or maybe worse? They don t hurt, no puss or sores, just bites that itch, scratch, scab and subside...

Hi. Its not a common site for herpes. Moreover, herpes has clear fluid filled vesicles. Right now, stop using astringent. I think it is doing more harm now. Just apply a bland moisturizer 2-3 times a day. And take a non sedating antihistamines like levocetrizine. Update us after a week. Thanks
