Hallow Dear,

The cardinal symptom of early pregnancy is missing a period. Bleeding cannot be a symptom of pregnancy. Any amount and type of bleeding during any stage of pregnancy denotes risk to the pregnancy.

Some amount of bleeding few days after I-pill is known and normal phenomenon. Not an issue of concern. Then afterwards, you had regular menses. So no pregnancy.

In fact, I-pill is a progestational medicine and hence the period following it is expected to be of low or normal bleeding. You had normal bleeding.

For few months after a couple of months I-pill consumption your periods are heavy. It cannot be attributed to I-pill. You have following options to deal with this issue:

1. Take Low Oestrogen birth control pills for three months. They might regularise your menses.

2. If they do not, or even else, report to a Gynaecologist for hormonal and endometrial work up to plan further management.

I hope this helps you.
