Is Head Shaking Normal In Toddlers?

My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter has recently started shaking her head back and forth for no reason. She says she doesn t have a headache. She does it every so often and has started to do it more frequently. She slipped and hit her the back of her head on the floor about 2 weeks ago.

Dear user
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns
I went through your details. Sometimes, a baby/child will do repetitive movements in order to lull themselves to sleep, like a soothing thing.
Also, some babies/kids do repetitive movements in order to shut-out external stimuli. Even sometimes tantrums serve that purpose as well. You notice this when the child is tired... It is a child's way to just shut-out over stimulation. But still you should talk to your pediatrician.

If you require more of my help in this aspect, please use this URL. http://YYYYYYYYYYY. Make sure that you include every minute details possible.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
