Is Having A Thyroid Nodule Causing Stiff Neck Serious?
I was at the doctor yesterday and he found a thyroid nodule. Wants me to make appt. with ear nose throat doctor. The only problem I ve been having is stiff neck and sleepless nights. I thought it was just me getting older. I ll be fifty in August. Are they anything to worry about?

Thanks for your query. Thyroid nodule needs to be evaluated further with aspiration cytology , USG neck and thyroid function tests. Stiff neck may or may not be associated with the thyroid pathology.
