Is Genital Ulcers And Enlarged Tonsils Sign Of STD?

hello sir i m 30 yrs old male from india.6 wks back i had a unprotected sexual intercourse with a prostititute due to failed condon.i convinced her to get her blood tested and hiv elisa came negative.3 wks after that i had a feeling of nausea which lasted for 3 days.and now after 6 wks my left tonsil is enlarged for last 5 days .i m a smoker also .i never had fever,lymphadenopathy oral or genital ulcer during this period.is it a symptom of acute hiv infection kindly reply

thank you for query.The symptoms are non specific may be due to ARS or not.But as the partner tests are negative it is unlikely to be due to HIV.Hope she is not in window period.You can go for HIV tests depending on the time since exposure like RNA PCR or Combo tests or elisa.consult doctor for investigation to relieve your anxiety due to HIV. hope for the best..You can get back to me for any clarifications with the details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
