Is Flying For Long Distance Safe While Recovering From Acute Headache And Loss Of Memory After A Fall?

my friend who's 47 fell off a horse 10 days ago and was unconscious for several hours. she was on morphine for two days, suffered from acute headaches for 5 days, remembers nothing for the first four days and is currently sleeping 18 hours a day. her mri and ct showed nothing serious. they were performed four days following the accident. on thursday, just 13 days after the accident, she plans on flying from hawaii to the east coast and all around the east coast for two weeks. is this a safe thing to do at this point in her recovery? if not, what dangers is she facing?

Hi there.
As you have told your friend had an injury 13 days a ago, which was quit serious as she started to have headache and she has developed memory issues. And CT Scan and MRI done doesn't show any thing serious, which is a good thing.
I have come across many of head injury cases.
There will be no issues with flying at this point of recovery, it is safe. She just need to relax her mind during her recovery period, and spending some time for vacation is a nice idea. May be with family members.
But, I strongly feel that she should be accompanied by some one who can take care of her.
thank you,
Hope your friend recover completely.
