General & Family Physician 's  Response
Five weeks have been elapsed since surgery. She must be ambulatory now and doing her daily routine activity. So travel via flight will be fine now. If she is not ambulatory then travel via flight can be risky. Four hours of physical inactivity can cause deep vein thrombosis.
Advice
1.     Drink plenty of water during journey
2.     Take necessary medicines in flight
3.     Avoid constant sitting during travel. Try to walk during cruising of flight
4.     Wear compression stockings
5.     Avoid coffee and alcohol
Thanks
