Is Fasting Sugar In Between 120 And 140 Normal?

i take glucobay50 1tab at bf and 1tab at dinner.
I take tripride- 2 1 tab before bf.
i also take 12 unit insuln before bf and 10 units before dinner.

my fasting sugar is maintained between 120- 140.
Is it ok , what can i do to improve further ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Fasting sugar in between 120 and 140 mg/dl is slightly high & indicate adequate control in a patient suffering from diabetes mellitus. However more reduction of blood glucose level is desired. Fasting blood glucose level below 120 mg/dl is normal.
For improvement of blood glucose levels you could do following things.
1. Try to have lot of green vegetables & fruits. Fruits with high sugar content such as mango, grapes, etc are to be avoided.
2. Have lots of whole grains & other fibre rich foods. You could also include legumes like dried beans, peas, and lentils
3. Have light exercise like walking cycling for minimum half an hour daily.
4. Try to have divided meals instead of having heavy meal at a time

Continue your medicines. Consult your doctor for routine checkup
