Is farting normal after delivery ?

After an episiotomy I find myself passing gas often and I am not able to hold them in . Also a couple of times when I could not get to the restroom, I found stool on my underpants. It was very soft. I still had to have a bowel movement later. Is this normal after giving birth?

it seems your rectal muscles have been lax after the pregnancy and episiotomy procedure.Try excercises for the same. One commonly advised exercise is ' try and contract your perineal muscles as if your forcefully stopping your urine and stool flow. do it for 5 seconds and then relax the muscles.Do it 20 / 30 times a day. This will help you
