Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband was recent[y hospitalized for diabetes on Christmas eve, his seizure was bad to where he stopped breathing and I had to perform cpr to bring him back to us, my question is, Is it okay for him to be outside in the cold? I live here in Michigan.
I understand your concern and wish a good well being to your husband... But cold can be a precipitating factor for the seizures.. Make sure your husband is taking daily medicine for the epilepsy as it will reoccur if he is taking on and off treatment..performing cpr doesn't always ensure a good prognosis so better take care and avoid cold if it's one of the precipitating factor
Thanks
Regards Dr Varun
