Is Elevated Level Of Blood Pressure A Cause For Concern?

My blood pressure js currently reading 138/105. This is not normal for me, but I have been in quite a lot of pain for the past 2 weeks. I just want to make sure that this is something that can wait to see my regular doctor for tomorrow or if I need to seek emergency medical attention for tonight.

Thanks for asking at Healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
You don't need urgent treatment as it is neither emergency which by definition is 180 or more systolic BP with stroke, MI or kidney failure nor urgency which by definition is 220/125 BP with no target organ damage.
All that you have to do is not to be panic and wait for your consultant checkup. In the mean you can take garlic boiled water.
Ideally it needs 4-5 readings 2-3 weeks apart of more than 140/90 or 130/85 if associated diabetes or kidney disaese; to confirm diagnosis
of Hypertension.
If you are below 25 then you need to be investigate for secondary cause after diagnosis.
Hope it helps best.
